Anything open on Boxing day in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Hi, I am flying out on Boxing day to spend a few days holiday in the Torrevieja region, please can anyone let me know if anything will be open (shops/bars etc) in Torrevieja on Boxing day.
Thanks.
Jane, Maldon, Essex, UK."
A. "Hi Barbara, the average Spanish person celebrates their Christmas on 3 Kings day (the 6th of January), so generally, you should find 'most' shops, bars and restaurants in Torrevieja will be open on Boxing day.
Hope this helps and hope you have a great holiday in Torrevieja, we love it in that area, in fact, for the last 4 years, we've always stayed just a few minutes up the road from Torrevieja, in La Mata - some excellent beaches in La Mata, very Spanish and has some great bars and restaurants there.
Christine, Chester-le-Street, County Durham, England."
Bars and restaurants in Torrevieja open over Easter ?
Q. "I am visiting Torrevieja next Easter. Can you tell me if the bars and restaurants stay open for the Easter weekend?
Myself, my husband and 5 year old niece are going.
Thanks.
Regards.
Janet, Leixlip, Kildare in Ireland."
A. "Hi Janet, Well this depends. Yes for some and no for others. The main international restaurants remain open as normal, but you may find that some of the small bars close on the Fiesta days, which are Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday. Easter is a great time to be in Spain with all of the colourful parades. Also, take a look at the fiestas page on this website, it gives quite a lot of info and nearer the time they normally put on the timings and dates of the processions in Torrevieja as well. More on
the link
below for details of the holidays and fiestas in Torrevieja:

Buses in Torrevieja - Playa de los Locos ?
Q. "Hi, We'll be staying for a few months in one of the
holiday apartments in Torrevieja, a couple of minutes walk from the beach at Los
Locos next winter and wonder what the bus routes are like? Can you get a
bus from Los Locos beach?
Thanks
Sue and Jim, Longthorpe, Peterborough, UK."
A. "Hello Sue and Jim, The bus's in Torrevieja are very good,
reliable, clean and inexpensive. There's bus's that go all along the beachfront
at Playa Los Locos, don't know exact timings, but normally every 20-30 minutes.
Or, you could go to the main bus station in Torrevieja, just by the Friday market in Torrevieja - the staff at the bus station are usually very helpful.
There's more details on the bus service from Torrevieja on this link bus service
in Torrevieja.
Kind regards.
Jane and Andy, Birchgrove, Swansea, Wales."
Calle Ancora in Aguas Nuevas ?
Q. "Hi, I am looking for a street and cannot locate it on any maps !
Can you please help me locate Calle Ancora in Aguas Nuevas ?
Thanks,

A. "Hi Andy, not sure how helpful this is, but I do know that it is in Aguas Neuvas 1.
Regards.
Joanne, Thetford, Norfolk, England."

Jean, Aquas Nuevas, Torrevieja, Alicante, Spain."

Thanks
Maurice, Romsey, Hampshire, UK."
A. "Hello Maurice, the carnaval parades in Torrevieja, are Sunday the 11th February starting at 16.30 and then again on Saturday the 17th Feb starting at 21.30.
Both go through the central streets of Torrevieja, including the main Church square in Torrevieja.

Hope this helps.

Christmas and New Year in Torrevieja ?
Q. "My cousin and I are thinking of spending Christmas and New Year in Torrevieja. Will all the shops and bars be open as it is winter season. I would hate to come away and find that there is no entertainment during this period.
Any help appreciated.
Karen, Welling, Kent, UK."
A. "Hi Karen, The bars and shops are generally open as normal, apart from Christmas day and New Years day, so you'll not be short of some retail therapy!!!
Christmas celebrations in Torrevieja town are quite different to a large town in the UK, as they are centered around the family and so tend to happen behind closed doors.
New Year celebrations in Torrevieja town, are usually held at the main Church square, where everyone waits for the church beel to chime for the time at midnight, drinking their champagne, eating grapes and shaking hands and hugging everyone in sight and if you are looking for a little of the UK type entertainment you will normally find a warm and friendly welcome at the British and Irish owned establishments in the more residential areas for example Aguas Nuevas. If you're wanting to go to the one of the Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Years Eve events at one of the local bars or restaurants I would recommend booking in advance if you can. If you are also looking for the Spanish parades and special local events take a look at the 'fiestas and holidays' page on TorreviejaInformation.com for more details, which is on this link

Christmas and New Years eve in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Hi, My partner and I are heading for Torrevieja on holiday, for Christmas and New Year. Can you please suggest somewhere to have a good Christmas dinner with a bit of atmosphere and some British talking people please. Also for New Years Eve, can you recommend anywhere. We are staying in one of the holiday apartments in Torrevieja but can travel to La Mata if there's something good going on.
Thanks.
Angela, Maidenhead, Berkshire, UK."
A. "Hi there Angela, As you may know, there's hundreds of bars and restaurants in Torrevieja and La Mata, some of which are mentioned on the 'Bars in Torrevieja' and 'Restaurants' pages on this site. But to narrow down your search I have heard that The Harp Irish Bar and The Bull and Bush, both of which are in Aguas Nuevas, Torrevieja, are good places to be for fun, good food and a party atmosphere. Or if you venture to La Mata, people speak highly of Domino bar and restaurant too. In Spain, as in the UK, it is worth booking early to avoid disappointment, so get booking and Happy Christmas!
All the best
Steve,
Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales."
Concerts in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Last year, my family and I stayed in a holiday apartment in Torrevieja and the band Depeche Mode were playing on a big stage near the apartment. Are there any bands playing there this year? And if so, where can I find out more about any forthcoming bands in Torrevieja? Or any other concerts in Torrevieja?
Thanks
Jake, Eastleigh, Southampton, UK."
A. "I heard that concert was really good, I missed it but I did see the Shakira concert in Torrevieja earlier in the year. There have been a couple of big Spanish bands appearing in the Torrevieja concerts, but nobody that I knew. If I know of anything later in the year I will put a message on this notice board to let you know.
Regards.
Lorraine, Caerphilly, Glamorgan, Wales."
Cycling in Torrevieja ?
Q.
"My next holiday will be in Torrevieja and I am an avid cyclist, are there any cycling tour routes anyone could recommend?
Dave, Hillingdon, Middlesex, England."
A. "You could take the CV 905 from Torrevieja north towards the AP7 motorway, because the CV 905 has a cycle path, from here you could explore some of the other small towns and villages.
Neil, Plymouth, Devon, UK."
A. "Another suggestion would be the Paseo del Dique de Levante or Eastern Dock Promenade. It's the Eastern breakwater and is 1,355 meters long. It goes all the way out to a lighthouse, and provides a spectacular panoramic viewpoint. There is a cycle lane underneath this super promenade.
Joe, Croydon, Surrey, UK."
Dates for the Christmas nativity in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Can anyone please tell me when the Christmas nativity is put up in the square, in front of the main Church in Torrevieja please?
Nicky, Dartford, Kent, UK."
A. "There's never a fixed date for the inauguration of the 'Belen' (Christmas Nativity) in Torrevieja, but they usually start work on it around the first week of December. During recent years it has been on public display from around the 12th to 15th December. This year, Torrevieja will be holding the annual 'Christmas Carols in English' in the main Church square on the evening of Friday 14th December. The 'Belen' will probably be on display then.
The Nativity display in Torrevieja is always worth seeing, it's all put together brilliantly, and the attention to the smallest detail is incredible.
We often have our winter holidays in Torrevieja to also include Christmas, as it's a great atmosphere there at that time of the year, (it's also great to get away from the UK weather as well!!!!).
Hope this helps.
Mike and Joan, Staines, Middlesex, UK."
Discos and bars in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Hi, we are having a holiday in Torrevieja next year and we have two teenage kids of 16
and 17 and my daughters friend who is 17.
Are there lots of bars and discos they can go to in the evenings to keep them amused?
Trevor and Louise - (worried parents), Ilkeston, Derbyshire, England."
A. "Hi Trevor and Louise, hopefully, we can help you to be less worried.
There's loads and loads of bars in Torrevieja town and a few discos just by the water park in Torrevieja (opposite side to Carrefour supermarket).
John and April, Stockport, Cheshire, England."
Dates for the Carnaval in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Please could anyone tell me the dates for the February 2008
Fiestas de Carnaval in Torrevieja.
Many thanks.
Sylvia, Biggin Hill, Kent, UK."
A. “ Hi, I know that in 2007, the carnaval was on the 11th of February,
and it's always generally the same time of the year on a Sunday, so I think that
it is 10th of February in 2008. I also love the Carnival and will be in an
apartment rental on holiday in Torrevieja during February and will be at the
carnaval from start to finish and won't miss any of it.. I normally keep a keen
eye on the Fiestas page on this website cos they normally update it around
Christmas time ready for the new fiesta dates for the next year.
I hope that this helps and maybe I’ll see you at the carnival.
Betty, Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham, UK.”
Festivities in Torrevieja for Christmas and 3 Kings Day ?
Q. "Could you please let me know what festivities will be on in
Torrevieja, as I will be arriving in Torrevieja on holiday from New Years eve for a week.
Regards.
Chris, Banbury, Oxfordshire, England."

Fiestas in Torrevieja ? Holidays in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Could you please provide details of Fiestas in Torrevieja and/or Holidays in Torrevieja for
the coming year, especially over the New Year.
Thanks.
Chris, Banbury, Oxon, England."
A. "Hi Chris, The link below should help you :
Fiestas in Torrevieja - Holidays in Torrevieja
We give the link to that fiestas and holidays page to our friends who go to Torrevieja on holiday, and they say that it's helped them a lot.
The information on the fiestas and holidays is not usually known until about 2 months before, so for the Christmas and New Year events, just look back on that page about early November.
Hope this helps.
Kelly, Bournemouth, Hants, UK."
Flights to Murcia airport or Alicante airport from the UK ?
Q. "Would it be cheaper to get a slightly more expensive flight to Murcia airport instead of Alicante airport, because the mini cab from the airport will be less money?
Thanks.
Josh, Finchley, North London, UK."
A. "Hi Josh, There's not a lot in it really - It might be about 5 euros cheaper to get from Murcia airport to Torrevieja, rather than from Alicante airport to Torrevieja.
Hope this helps.
Lisa, Brighton, Sussex, UK."

Good diving or snorkelling in Torrevieja or nearby areas ?
Q. "Hi !
Anyone know if there is any good diving or snorkelling in Torrevieja or nearby areas, by boat or from land ?
I'm going with my family and going to stay at La Mata on holiday, (Playa de la Mata) for about 2 weeks in August.
Best Regards,
Peter, Hersham, Surrey, England."
A. "You can get a boat from Torrevieja Harbour (full day trip) to a local island called 'Tabarca'. This is a fantastic snorkelling area. You can get a bus from La Mata into Torrevieja which drops you off right by the harbour where you can pick the boat up. I believe the boats run in the summer at 11.00hrs and returning 18.00hrs (every day except Friday).
The number to call to book is 0034 965 717 447 or 965 716 661. Hope that helps.

mall on Sundays in April please ?
Margaret, Bromley, Kent, England."

we have in England doesn't start in Spain!! It is open on the other 6 days
of the week though!

Habaneras shopping centre in Torrevieja ?
Q. "I have visited Torrevieja for the last 2 years and the last time I visited on holiday to Torrevieja was August bank holiday last year. List of shops in the Habaneras Shopping Centre ?
Q. "Hello, Please can anyone be kind enough to let me know how I
can find out a list of the shops in Habaneras shopping mall. I was there
recently and need to contact one of the shops I visited, but I do not know the
name of the shop. It was near to where Crystal shop was and it was a furniture
shop that sold mirrors and ornaments.
Thank you for your help.
With regards
Sue, Watford, Hertfordshire, England."
A. "I love shopping in Habaneras commercial center and always make
at least one visit there whenever I’m on holiday in Torrevieja. I think that the
shop you are referring to is called ‘De Casa’. It's on the lower floor of the
shopping mall, and it’s directly under the Cristal Shop. I loved the shop so
much that I picked up a business card when I was on holiday last spring. I
wanted to buy a set of large baskets, and a mirror for my dining room, but my
husband pointed out that it may be tricky to get them in the suitcase, although
I think they can arrange shipping. All is not lost, cos we are travelling down
by car at Easter and staying for 2 months in an apartment in Torrevieja, so my
husband wont have any reason to stop me this time!! The telephone number on the
business card is 0034 966 705 302 and it’s also the same number for the fax.
I’ve also sent this website my map of the habaneras shopping center and they
said that they will be putting it on this website soon.
Happy shopping!
Jean, Whitby, Yorkshire, England”
Market days in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Does anyone know of the different Torrevieja market open days during the week after Xmas, i.e. 1st of Jan until 7th.
Last year we made the mistake of not checking market days. For example the Friday Torrevieja market was not held on the Friday after Xmas last year.
If anyone can please pass on any information of the market days in Torrevieja
when there's a public holiday would be appreciated. We realised that as the Monday was a Holiday, i.e. New Years Day, markets would be different.
Any help appreciated.
Ingrid, Bushey, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom."
A. "Hello Ingrid, the main market in Torrevieja is on every Friday, but if there's a Fiesta on that Friday they will hold the market on the Thursday, the day before, instead.
Hope this helps.
Tina, High Wycombe, Bucks, UK."

Old Tower that gives Torrevieja its name ?
Q. "Hi there, I am returning again to Torrevieja soon and this time I'm keen to make an effort to photograph the more historical sites around. Various websites mention the Old Towers, how many remain and where can they be found?
Also whereabouts is the location of the Roman Pier in La Mata? Many, many thanks in advance.
Paul, Chertsey, Surrey, UK."
A. "Hello Paul, I don't know the answers to the other questions on Torrevieja you have, and you may get other ideas on this, but I'm fairly sure that the tower that gives Torrevieja it's name is on the border between La Mata and Torrevieja. On the way to La Mata from Torrevieja, go along the coastal road, and when you get to the bend in the road that goes to left at Cabo Cevera, you will see the old tower just on the right. You probably know this already Paul, but for those who don't know the translation of this, Torre means tower and old means vieja = Torrevieja. The words go the other way around in Spain, so in England, you would say Old tower, but in Spain, it would be Tower old!
Hope this helps and hope you have a great time in Torrevieja. It would be great to see some of your photos on this site if you can.
Stewart, Grantham, Lincolnshire, UK."

Valerie, Bromborough, Wirral, England."
A. "Hi Valerie, going by previous years, Carrefour will be open on the 24th of December, 31st of December and the 7th of January, but will probably close earlier than normal. it will also be open as usual during the week, including the Saturdays, but probably not on the 6th of January, as this is 3 Kings Day.

Opening times for supermarkets and shops in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Could you please let me know supermarket/shop opening times for 31 Dec/1 Jan as I will be arriving in Torrevieja on the 31 Dec. Could you also let me know what Festivities will be on that week.
Regards.
Chris, Banbury, Oxfordshire, England."
A. "Hello Chris, as you can see from similar questions on this page, the larger supermarkets in Torrevieja will be open as usual, but closed on the 1st of January and the 6th of January, this will probably apply to the smaller supermarkets as well. This answer also applies to the opening times for the shops in Torrevieja as well.
Jim, Athersley, Barnsley, England."
A. "You've picked a good week to go to Torrevieja as there's lots of celebrations during that week. Have you seen the fiestas page on this website? I get all of my info from here on this website for the local and national fiestas: it's really good. I've just had a look, and at the moment the fiestas page says about the parade on the 5th of January in the evening, I suppose cos this is a standard procession (and well worth a look), but nearer the time there is normally a timetable of other events for the Christmas, New Year and Three Kings week. In England, when Christmas is over and New Year has passed, everything is finished and we go into 'winter' mode again, but in Spain the fiestas just go on and on. I would recommend that you keep your eye on the fiestas page for further information on the fiestas for the Three Kings celebrations and for any other time that you visit Torrevieja."

Margaret, Wishaw, Lanarkshire, Scotland."
A. " Hi Margaret, your best bet is to walk to the main coastal road and turn right towards Torrevieja. Just a short distance and you will be at Los Locos, here you will find a selection of bars and restaurants (British, Irish and Spanish) offering good food at reasonable prices and some also do other entertainment like karaoke and singers etc too.
In fact, there's so many restaurants in Torrevieja, you'll be spoilt for choice really.
Hope this helps.
Sue, Wimbledon, Surrey, England."

children aged 15 + 12. Can we keep them amused? We are aware that there is a
festival on the 15th,ish. What can we expect? We are hiring a car at the
airport. Where are the best places to visit during our stay?
Any info appreciated,.
Alistair, Bearsden, Glasgow, Scotland."
A. "Hi Lisa and Alistair, We have 3 kids, aged from 2 to 9, and whenever we go back to Torrevieja on holiday, (every year!), we always take a trip to the funfair, just behind the night-time market at the seafront, they love it on there, they also love watching the fiestas in Torrevieja. (The fiestas page on this website gives good information on them). We've been at different times of the year, and even in the months of October and November we've been on the beach some days.
Have a good holiday.
Regards.
Tina, Steve and kids, Bradford, Yorkshire, UK."
A. "Hello Lisa and Alistair, in addition to the good ideas
mentioned above, there's lots of things to do in Torrevieja, there's also the beaches
in Torrevieja, but one of the best things to do, is the excellent water park in
Torrevieja, can't remember the exact name for it, but it's something like
Torrevieja Aquapolis and if you've got children you have to visit this Aquapolis
in Torrevieja, it's great, they have something there for all ages, there's also
picnic areas in the shade. For more details, just click once on the following
link Torrevieja

Have a great time and perhaps you could email back here after you're holiday in
Torrevieja, to let us know how you got on.
All the best.

Three Kings celebrations in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Hola! I plan to come to Torrevieja specifically for the Coming of the Three Kings celebrations in January 2008. Could you please let me know what time the festivities usually start on the 5th January and where is the best place to be to appreciate the whole experience. I would imagine it would be somewhere near the Town Square?
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I very much look forward to reading an answer here.
Best regards
Rosemarie, Bristol, Avon, United Kingdom."
A. "Hi Rosemarie, Wow, you're thinking ahead!!
The Three Kings parade is normally an evening event and tends to be scheduled to begin between 20:00 and 21:00. It's traditional route takes it down a street called Ramon Gallud, which is the main shopping street in Torrevieja, and, as you rightly said, goes past the main town square. The Town Hall square, being that it is stepped, can be a good place to stand as you can get a height advantage on other locations, however, everyone else thinks this too, so you may need to get your position nice an early so as not to be disappointed. If you prefer you can sit at the very edge of the parade on the chairs that line the street, but the town hall do charge approximately 4 euros for the privilege. Having said all that, things do change, so please keep an eye on the website for any updates on this information.
In the way of areas to stay in, I would recommend La Mata more than Torrevieja centre itself, as it is only 5 - 10 minutes drive away and a bit more peaceful. The Spanish celebrations tend to be traditionally noisy and go on late into the night, and you may not want this to be imposed on you every night!
All the best.
Sue, Guildford, Surrey, UK."

A. "Hi Stuart, The last time I was in Torrevieja on holiday for the 3 kings parade was a couple of years ago, so hope what I can tell you is still correct. We just went to the main Church square in Torrevieja about 11pm and saw the 3 Kings come past the Church square, well worth seeing. As for parking, we just parked on the outskirts of Torrevieja and walked the little way in.
Hope this helps and maybe someone else can give more information on the 3 Kings parade in Torrevieja.
Have a great holiday.
Regards.

A. "Hello Mary, We go to the Easter parades in Torrevieja every
year, in fact, we organise our flights from the UK to the Costa Blanca to

seeing.

What's the weather like in Torrevieja ?
Q. "I'm visiting Torrevieja on holiday soon - really looking forward to it. What's the weather like in Torrevieja
through the year?
Thanks.
Julieanne, Whitley bay, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK."
A. "The weather in Torrevieja is very good for most of the year, 2 of our favourite times of the year, weather-wise, is April and October. We go on holiday to Torrevieja twice a year every year and it's always April and October when the climate is absolutely perfect! There's a very good page on this website for the weather, which is automatically updated every 30 minutes with the latest weather, we have the page saved to our favourites, as we're always looking at it.
The weather page is The weather in Torrevieja.
Have a great holiday.

What's the weather like in Torrevieja in April ?
Q. "Hi, Can anyone please tell me what the weather in Torrevieja is
usually like in April.
Kelly, Barrow in Furness, Cumbria, England."
A. “Hi Kelly, I recently spent my first holiday in Torrevieja in April,
and it was absolutely fantastic. Because I'm so used to the English weather in
the UK, I bought long trousers and jumpers, but had no need for any of that!!
It was t-shirts and shorts all the time. On a couple of days it was a little
chilly in the morning, but by the time 10am arrived it was back to the normal
warm sunshine again!
We spent 16 nights there last time and hope to spend another holiday there in
another apartment rental soon, hopefully for 3 weeks the next time!
Have a great time.

What's the weather like in Torrevieja in November ?
Q. "Hi, We are thinking of going to Torrevieja in the middle of November. I have checked the weather page on this website which gave some very good information, but has anyone been there at that time of the year?
Is it still quite warm in Torrevieja in November please?
Thanks.
Linda, Norwich, Norfolk, UK."
A. “Hi Linda. I spent last November in Torrevieja to escape from the
dark, cold and damp England. I can tell you from first hand experience that, the
majority of the time, it was bright, sunny and warm. During the day the
temperatures in the sun were still up to the mid 20’s, so T-shirts were the
order of the day. It was nippy, in comparison, at night and first thing in the
morning, but, from memory, averaged approximately 12-14 degrees at night (I
would recommend a fleece or coat for first thing in the morning and
evenings/nights). I was happy with this Spanish night time low as it was still a
few degrees higher then the UK mid day high!!! Have a lovely holiday, wish I was
going now, but I have to wait until January for my next holiday to Torrevieja.
I always spend the whole of every January in one of the holiday rentals in
Torrevieja, it works out cheaper than living in the UK for the month and a heck
of a lot warmer as well!!.

Wheelchair hire in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Can you please give me any details you might have of places in the Torrevieja area which might hire electronic scooters or wheelchairs. We will be staying in Torrevieja on holiday, not far from the town centre. Any information you might have would be great.
Regards
Siobhan, Harrogate, North Yorks, England."
A. "Information on where you can hire wheel chairs in Torrevieja.
Well, you hire wheelchairs In Torrevieja from the "Help" organisation. - They are a voluntary group based in a café (Nr Mas y Mas) in Punta Prima. Call 696 177 816 . The guy running it was very helpful to me when I wanted a wheel chair and bath seat.
Wendy, Torrevieja, Alicante, Spain."
A. "Re: Wheelchair hire in Torrevieja. The AEBE (Debra) charity shop near the Budapest Restaurant at Avenida del Mar, Quesada has a wheelchair for hire.
Hope this helps.

Where are the childrens play parks in Torrevieja ?
Q. "We are travelling to Torrevieja with our children (7 and 3),
can you please tell us where the good municipal children’s play parks (slides,
swings etc.) are in Torrevieja.
Any help appreciated.
Claire, Rugby, Warwickshire, England."
A. "Hello Claire, There's quite a few small childrens play parks in
Torrevieja, as soon as you walk around the backstreets for a few minutes, you'll
see the parks every few miles or so, but easily, the best park for children is
the park of nations, also known as Parque de las Naciones, this is a very large
park, with swings, slides, lakes where the ducks and geese are waiting for your
children to feed them!!
Also, in the same park of nations, there's a boat ride (although I think this
could only be in summer) along the lake. In another part of the park,
there's a section for rabbits, squirrels, lizards etc.
We've been going to a holiday apartment in Torrevieja every year for the last 6
years with our two kids and it's great because the apartment we stay in is in
Calla Villamadrid, (or maybe it's Calle Villa Madrid, I can't remember for sure
at the moment), just a few 100 yards from the park, so it's been great for
taking the kids to this park, plus, the Torrevieja water park is easily walkable
from this spot.
Hope this helps you Claire.
Have a great holiday.
Regards.
Karen, Tim and kids, Weymouth, Dorset, England."
Where's the Habaneras shopping centre in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Where is the Las Habaneras shopping centre in Torrevieja please
? I'm coming on holiday in August and can't find where the centre is. If
anyone knows what buses go to it that would be useful too but just knowing where
it is would be great.
Many thanks
Sue, Blackheath, London, England."
A. "Hi Sue, You don't say which part of Torrevieja you're coming
from, and I don't know which parts of Torrevieja you know, but hope these
directions to the Habaneras shopping centre can help you. If you were at
the Parque de las Naciones, (park of nations), and went to the part that was the
nearest to the Torrevieja street market, ok so far ? Right then, if you
were standing on the pavement outside the park and facing the location for the
street market, you will see a fairly busy road in front of you, you will know if
you're looking in the right direction, if, when you look across the road and to
the left, you should see a very large office block named Tabisam, just walk to
your left along the side of this road, go over the next roundabout, passing the
petrol station on your left and you'll see the Habaneras shopping center a few
100 yards down on the right, just before the gigantic Carrefour supermarket.
I spend one month a year in holiday apartments in Torrevieja and always try to
get along to the Habaneras or Carefour for shopping whenever I'm there.
(The Torrevieja aqua park is a few minutes walk behind the Habaneras shopping
centre). Hope these directions are ok for you Sue, please let us know if
they were ok!!
Have a great holiday in Torrevieja.
Regards.

Which good restaurants in Torrevieja serve good sea bass ?
Q. "Hi, My teenage son and I will be visiting the Los Naufragos area and would welcome any hints on restaurants in the area serving good sea bass.
Also, is there a Geordie bar for my NUFC mad son (I've never been anywhere where there isn't!!!).
Marion, Durham , Co Durham, England."
A. "Hi Marion, One of the best restaurants in Torrevieja for seafood and shellfish is El Pescador, the sea bass in there is really tasty and the lobster and prawns are brilliant. In the 8 years that we've been going to Torrevieja on holiday, we've always had a meal in El Pescador every year and it's always been a good meal. Definitely one of the best seafood restaurants in Torrevieja.
Can't help on the Geordie bar in Torrevieja for Newcastle United fans, as I'm not a football fan, but perhaps someone else looking on this page can help you with that one!!
The comments and address for El Pescador are on the restaurants page on the following link El Pescador restaurant in Torrevieja.

Windsurfing kit hire in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Hi there, we will be staying with friends on holiday in March / April time and would really like to do some windsurfing (wind gods permitting). Does anyone know of any kit hire along the Torrevieja coastline. Or does anybody have any kit they would like to earn some money from. Doesn't have to be high spec, just so long as we can get on the water.
Best regards.
Andy, Aldershot, Hampshire, UK."
A. "Hello Andy, I've been going on holiday to Torrevieja every year for a few years and although in that time, I have seen a few windsurfers in Torrevieja, I have a feeling that windsurfing in Torrevieja may not be very mainstream, but I have seen a big group of about 15-20 windsurfers on the section of the sea between La Mata and Guardamar, usually Sunday afternoons, and very often in the cooler months for the Costa Blanca, between October to May.
Hope this has helped.
Jim, Telford, Shropshire, UK."
