Opening times for supermarkets and shops in Torrevieja ?
Q. "Could you please let me know supermarket/shop opening times for 31 Dec/1 Jan as I will be arriving in Torrevieja on the 31 Dec. Could you also let me know what Festivities will be on that week.
Regards.
Chris, Banbury, Oxfordshire, England."
A. "Hello Chris, as you can see from similar questions on this page, the larger supermarkets in Torrevieja will be open as usual, but closed on the 1st of January and the 6th of January, this will probably apply to the smaller supermarkets as well. This answer also applies to the opening times for the shops in Torrevieja as well.
Jim, Athersley, Barnsley, England."
A. "You've picked a good week to go to Torrevieja as there's lots of celebrations during that week. Have you seen the fiestas page on this website? I get all of my info from here on this website for the local and national fiestas: it's really good. I've just had a look, and at the moment the fiestas page says about the parade on the 5th of January in the evening, I suppose cos this is a standard procession (and well worth a look), but nearer the time there is normally a timetable of other events for the Christmas, New Year and Three Kings week. In England, when Christmas is over and New Year has passed, everything is finished and we go into 'winter' mode again, but in Spain the fiestas just go on and on. I would recommend that you keep your eye on the fiestas page for further information on the fiestas for the Three Kings celebrations and for any other time that you visit Torrevieja."

Q. “Please can you advise me if there is a public holiday within the
month of February in Torrevieja.
Keith, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England.”
A. “Hi Keith, there's never any public holidays in Torrevieja in
February, the only festivities in Torrevieja for February, are the carnivals on
the 7th and 13th of February (these dates in February change each year): take a
look at the fiestas page for more info,
www.torreviejainformation.com/torrevieja-fiestas-and-holidays. The next
public holiday in Torrevieja is March the 19th which is Fathers Day (in Spanish
it's San José or Día del Padre) and then it’s the Easter holidays. Hope this
helps.

Just a short distance and you will be at Los Locos, here you will find a selection of bars and restaurants (British, Irish and Spanish) offering good food at reasonable prices and some also do other entertainment like karaoke and singers etc too.
In fact, there's so many restaurants in Torrevieja, you'll be spoilt for choice really.
Hope this helps.

Q. "We are going on holiday to Torrevieja in July. We have 2
children aged 15 + 12. Can we keep them amused? We are aware that there is a
festival on the 15th,ish. What can we expect? We are hiring a car at the
airport. Where are the best places to visit during our stay?
Any info appreciated,.
Alistair, Bearsden, Glasgow, Scotland."
A. "Hi Lisa and Alistair, We have 3 kids, aged from 2 to 9, and whenever we go back to Torrevieja on holiday, (every year!), we always take a trip to the funfair, just behind the night-time market at the seafront, they love it there, they also love watching the fiestas in Torrevieja. (The fiestas page on this website gives good information on them). We've been at different times of the year, and even in the months of October and November we've been on the beach some days.
Have a good holiday.
Regards.
Tina, Steve and kids, Bradford, Yorkshire, England."
A. "Hello Lisa and Alistair, in addition to the good ideas
mentioned above, there's lots of things to do in Torrevieja, there's also the beaches
in Torrevieja, but one of the best things to do, is the excellent water park in
Torrevieja, can't remember the exact name for it, but it's something like
Torrevieja Aquapolis and if you've got children you have to visit this Aquapolis
in Torrevieja, it's great, they have something there for all ages, there's also
picnic areas in the shade. For more details, just click once on the following

Have a great time and perhaps you could email back here after you're holiday in
